A. Mike SpenceMike Spence is an economist and recipient of the 2001 Nobel Prize in Economics for his work on the subject of signaling in markets with asymmetric information. He is a member of the boards of directors of Genpact, Mercardelibre, and a number of private companies, and in the past has served on the boards of Bank of America, General Mills, Nike, Siebel Systems and Sun Microsystems. He has authored three books and about 50 articles in professional journals. Spence, currently a Professor of Economics at New York University's Stern School of Business, has also held professorships at both Stanford Business School and Harvard. He was Dean of Stanford's Graduate School of Business from 1990 to 1999 and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard from 1984 until 1990. Spence earned a B.A. in philosophy at Princeton summa cum laude and was selected for a Rhodes Scholarship. He was awarded a B.A. from Oxford in mathematics and earned his Ph.D. in economics at Harvard. |

Greg SandsGreg Sands is Partner at Sutter Hill Ventures where his expertise lies in Internet software and services. Sands joined Sutter Hill Ventures from Netscape Communications where he was the company's original product manager. While at Netscape, he co-authored the company's original business plan and launched its initial products. He then created and led the Suitespot business unit around Netscape's suite of server products. Sands has previously worked at Cisco Systems and at Corporate Decisions (now Mercer Management Consulting). He earned a B.A. in government from Harvard College and received an MBA at Stanford. |

Matt GlickmanMatt Glickman is CEO and co-founder of Merced Systems. He has over 15 years of management experience in the software industry and in building successful software companies. Prior to Merced, Glickman was CEO of consumer retailer BabyCenter, Inc., the leading eCommerce company in its category. BabyCenter is currently a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson. Previously, Glickman led the development of Intuit's Quicken software product line. He has also served as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies at Bain & Company. Glickman graduated an Arjay Miller Scholar from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He also holds an M.A. from the Stanford School of Education and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Amherst College. |

Mark SelcowMark Selcow is President and co-founder of Merced Systems. Previously, Selcow was President of Consumer Health Interactive, a software company focused on the health insurance industry, and co-founded BabyCenter, serving as the company's President. Selcow held previous positions at Amgen and at the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Brown University. Selcow is a National Trustee and Board Member of the March of Dimes Foundation. |
